Reasons for the switch
From the start, we have worked with certificates for printing with POS printers and label printers. In the beginning, it was still possible to create certificates with a 10-year term. Due to the latest browser requirements, this is no longer possible and the certificate must be replaced annually on all devices (POS, POS printer, label printer). In order to keep hardware and support costs low, we had to develop a new solution: The Subsidiabox.
Advantages of the Subsidia Box
Summarised:
(A) More stable connection
(B) New possibilities for printing
(C) Easier setup
(D) Greater security
In detail, the Subsidiabox offers the following advantages:
New design options for article labels (here is an overview of the new layouts)
Location-independent printing possible (also known as remote printing)
Greater stability in the printer connection
Print delivery notes (e.g. for stock transfer) via Epson printer
Test printout of a transaction (for discussion with customers)
Multiple POS printers and label printers per location
Reprint of old daily statements
New hardware (POS printer or label printer) can be put into operation without further configuration
Better support from Subsidia in the event of printer failures

Reliability
If the Subsidiabox breaks down, it will not be possible to print on site. Delivery of the replacement device takes approximately 24 hours.
To bridge this time, it is therefore advisable to order another Subsidiabox and put it into operation. A device can then also fail and operation is still guaranteed. The same applies to locations with an unstable network.
