Training protocol part 1 "Basics"
โ€‹https://analytics.subsidia.ch

Hint: Printout Help-Post with [CTRL-P].

Step 1: Registration Google Video-Meeting

Step 2: Split the screen in half and fill it with two windows

  • With the help of the key combination [Windows arrow left], the window is displayed halved on the left.

  • Now a new browser window can be opened. e.g. with https://help.subsidia.ch and with the key combination [windows-arrow-right] the contents are shown halved on the right side.

  • This way you have two simultaneous views

Step 3: Explain the public view "Groups"

  • The dashboards and questions in the public area cannot be changed. However, they can be used as a basis for your own questions and dashboards.

  • Red frames: Analysis groups in topic areas are displayed in red frames.

Here you have to ask yourself, what do I want to know and in which thematic area can I find it?

  • Yellow frames: In yellow framing you come to your own questions and dashboards. Here you can create your own questions and dashboards and individualise them to your needs.

Step 4: Data structure / update

Data is updated every hour from the live database to the evaluation database.

Step 5: Jump back to the main window

  • Click on "S" in the upper left corner to return to the main page.

  • Click on the "back arrow" to go back one page.

Step 6: What is the difference between Dashboard and Questions?

  • Red frame: Dashboards are in a red frame. In a dashboard several questions can be updated with common filters.

  • Yellow frame: In yellow frame are single questions. The filters have to be added for each question individually.

Step 7: How do filters work?

Filters basically restrict the data to the selection criterion, i.e. other data that does not fit the criterion is not displayed. e.g. with the restriction "show this month", the data of the last month is not displayed.

There are time filters in which different date types can be set up. The type "between" allows an entry from - to (Important)

Useful filter: "contains" with which any content can be queried. e.g. in the delivery article number.

Step 8: Sort data

By clicking on the arrow in front of each column header, data can be sorted upwards and downwards.

Step 9: Create your own list of useful dashboards and questions

If a dashboard or a question is considered important, a folder can be created at the top of the reading bar and the questions dragged into it.

  1. Show reading bar [CTRL+SHIFT+B]

  2. Create folder "Analyses" in reading bar

  3. Drag useful dashboard into "Analyses" folder

  4. Rename the link

Now you have created your own analytics list and can click directly on your favourite analytics with these direct links.

If you want to do the same on your mobile. Here is the link: https://help.subsidia.ch/de/articles/5009752

Step 9: Export data to Excel

  1. Go to question (In the dashboard click on question title)

  2. Click on "Download-Icon" in the lower right corner

  3. File will be downloaded (bottom right)

  4. Click on download file to open Excel.

  5. Click on the button "Activate editing"

  6. Optimise column width: Click in the top left corner and then double-click on Line column A+B.

  7. Now a PIVOT table can be created from the data.

Now go on to the 2nd training: https://help.subsidia.ch/de/articles/5065270
