There are two ways to reset the ZD62x and ZD42x printer models - via the user interface or the reset button on the underside.

NOTE

After this procedure, the power cable must be disconnected and reconnected and a sensor calibration must be carried out, as the value of the sensors is also reset. See the video on manual media calibration for ZD620 and ZD420.

User Interface

Press the Pause and Feed buttons simultaneously and hold them down while the printer is switched on.

Keep pressing the buttons until the LED flashes green.

The printer configuration is reset to the factory settings. No labels are printed at the end of this action.

Reset Button

Press the rest button on the bottom of the printer.

Pressing the button has the following results, based on the duration of the button press:

0-1 seconds

nothing happens

1-5 seconds

Reset printer: The printer performs a factory reset and automatically prints a configuration label (and network label, if available).

6-10 seconds

Network reset: The printer disconnects from the network and the network is reset to the factory settings. Once the reset is complete, the configuration and network configuration labels are printed automatically.

More than 10 seconds

Exits the factory settings without resetting the printer or making any changes.
